On March 29, 2022, the SBA announced the expansion of the Women’s Business Center network to each state in the nation. With the addition of the Alaska Women’s Business Center, the WBC now spans all 50 states, including Puerto Rico and Washington D.C.

The onboarding of the 141st center in Anchorage, Alaska will be operated by the Seattle Economic Development Fund.

Administrator for the Small Business Administration, Isabella Guzman, said that women are leading America’s entrepreneurial renaissance. Since the presidential change, The SBA has delivered billions of dollars in assistance, extended service and helped prospective female entrepreneurs to continue their American dream.

The Alaska agency is the first to serve the state in over a decade and will help the women of Alaska’s community navigate the waters and icebergs of business. -30-
